Welcome the return of Peace Vaults. Having previously released two demos compiled by Crypt of the Wizard on vinyl as Peace Vaults I & II the three-piece now offer their debut full-length Prisoners of Time.
Immeasurably beautiful and haunting in equal measure this first full-length finds the duo striking directly at the heart of what gave their demos such force and raucous rancour. Stripped to its elements, driven by the holy trinity of drums, guitar, and bass, and blessed with a voice oscillating between counter-melodic harmonies and raw screams the record aches with crude stoic Black Metal and Post-Punk dynamics. Crystalline guitar fracture against relentless basslines, crashing into shimmering cymbals as we all drown together in a sea of sweet tragedy.
With Prisoners of Time Peace Vaults announce themselves as a considerable force in the contemporary underground music scene, splitting genre binaries with a growing arsenal of songs, and for those lucky enough to have seen them, blistering and beautiful live performances.
